Watercolor Risotto World Summit<\/em><\/h3>\n

October 2012, Milan<\/strong> prepares to welcome leading culinary professionals from Italy and around the world for the Acquerello Risotto World Summit<\/strong> , an event celebrating one of the symbols of Italian gastronomy: risotto<\/strong> . Tradition, creativity, and international influences meet in an occasion that brings together diverse culinary languages and contemporary visions. <\/p>\n

The initiative is conceived by Itchefs-GVCI<\/strong> , in collaboration with the CHIC (Charming Italian Chef)<\/strong> association, and included in the official calendar of Milano Golosa<\/strong> , an event curated by Davide Paolini<\/strong> (the Gastronaut). The Final Challenge<\/strong> will be held on Friday, October 19<\/strong> , in a suggestive location: Villa Torretta<\/strong> , a historic 17th-century residence immersed in the greenery of Milan’s Parco Nord. <\/p>\n

The undisputed star will be Acquerello rice<\/strong> , the event’s main sponsor, alongside partners such as Ferrarelle, Grana Padano<\/strong> and Terre del Sole<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

An international challenge<\/em><\/h3>\n

Milan will welcome the winning chefs of the international competitions held throughout the year at:<\/p>\n

  • Hong Kong<\/strong> (Eyck Zimmer)<\/li>\n
  • New York<\/strong> (Olivia Bonomi Todorov)<\/li>\n
  • Moscow<\/strong> (Bruno Marino)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    They will compete with seven Italian professionals<\/strong> belonging to the CHIC association:
    Fabio Baldassarre, Andrea Gabin, Luca Collami, Sergio Vineis, Athos Migliari, Carmine Cal\u00f2 and Paolo Trippini.<\/p>\n

    As Rosario Scarpato<\/strong> , the creator of the event, stated, \u201cThe aim is to highlight a dish and a preparation technique that are very Italian, but which are now part of the heritage of global gastronomy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

    I’m also on the jury<\/em><\/h3>\n

    It will be an honor for me to be part of one of the two juries<\/strong> scheduled for the final:<\/p>\n

        Ten Italian and international chefs will compete in the ultimate risotto. Two juries will decide the winners. <\/p>\n
