After the success of the first edition of “Extra Vergine” and the triumph of “Spaghetto Gigante,” Milan is ready to get burned with ” Pelle all’arrabbiata “! Le Grand Fooding returns on July 4th and 5th. It’s serious business with street food, music, art, and a generation of rebel chefs ready to rewrite the rules of taste.
A lineup of young, tattooed, international chefs, free from all labels. Chefs who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty (or turn up the volume) to serve dishes that speak the language of the street, but with world-class technique and passion.
“Music to my ears”, To get in the mood I would just have to put on “ I Feel You ” by Depeche Mode or something powerful by Led Zeppelin… But let’s get back to us.
Here are some of the protagonists of this edition:
- Andreas Dahlberg and Wade Brown (Bastards, Malmo)
- Vinny Dotolo and John Shok (Animal, Los Angeles)
- Eugenio Roncoroni and Beniamino Nespor (Al Mercato, Milan)
- James Lowe and Isaac Mchale (The Young Turks, London)
- Jerome Bigot (Les Grés)
- Matteo Torretta (Visconti Street Food, Milan)
- Galdina della Seta (Pasticceria Galdina, Milan)
The location? The Segheria at Via Meda 24, transformed for the occasion into a totally “street” space, with Piaggio Api converted into mobile kitchens thanks to Street Food Mobile. More Milan than this…
From 7 to 8 pm, the event kicks off with “Le Grand Scoppio Clicquot” – an aperitif with Veuve Clicquot champagne paired with the chefs’ dishes.
From 8pm onwards… everyone inside! Signature street food, a DJ set by Nicola Guiducci, Barbarella, and Alex Carrara, artisanal desserts by Bedussi, and a cake celebrating the 80th anniversary of Aranciata San Pellegrino.
And that’s not all: between courses, you can admire a live graffiti art piece by artist Jonone and participate in JR’s Inside Out project: black-and-white photographs, polka-dotted backgrounds, and a Warhol-esque aesthetic that transforms the Segheria into a vibrant, urban gallery.
Food, art, music and personality : Le Grand Fooding is all this and much more! An experience that combines pop culture, gastronomic exploration, and a whole lot of style.
See you there?
See you soon,
Stefania
